The 44th annual Comic-Con International is a wrap. Taking place in San Diego, the four day convention gave fans glimpses of a number of upcoming films. Among the major announcements was Warner Bros.’s decision to unite Superman and Batman on screen in the follow-up to “Man of Steel.” Set to hit theaters in the summer of 2015, the Superman and Batman film will be headed up by “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder, with Henry Cavill reprising his role as Superman. While the film will bring back “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane, the new Batman has yet to be cast. Fans of comic book superheroes also found out that the second “Avengers” film will be sub-titled “Age of Ultron.” Likely to feature much of the cast from the 2012 film, the sequel will hit theaters in May 2015.
Fans were also treated to teaser trailers from the upcoming films “Godzilla,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and more.
