Alright stop, collaborate and listen. Ice is back with an Amish renovation. Nineties’ one-hit wonder Vanilla Ice is going Amish for a new reality TV series. He’s doing it for the Do-it-Yourself Network. The home improvement cable network, better known as the DIY Network, announced this week that it’s adding the series “Vanilla Ice Goes Amish” to its programming slate. According to “The Hollywood Reporter,” the show is a new spin on the rapper’s DIY house-flipping series “The Vanilla Ice Project” and will see Ice venturing into Amish Country to learn the craft from its famous woodworkers.
DIY also announced new projects from Run D.M.C.’s Joseph “Reverend Run” Simmons, Hall & Oates singer-songwriter Daryl Hall and former “Perfect Strangers” TV star Bronson Pinchot. “The Rev. Run Project” will chronicle the hip-hop legend’s home renovation project. The “Daryl Hall Project” will also focus on Hall’s renovation efforts. “Bronson Pinchot Saves America,” meantime, will find Pinchot traveling the country to salvage artifacts from certain destruction.
